There’s no reason why you couldn’t make money this way if your abilities are good enough and what you write is interesting to a large audience.

Writing has never been more in demand and now is the time for people who feel that they have the gift to make the most out of this opportunity. There is a lot of rubbish being written on the web at the moment and quality will always stand out. Many people would argue that they are not well-educated enough to be considered writers in some circles. This may or may not be true for some people; however, you will never know unless you try. As the saying goes, content is king, and if your material is good and interesting enough, why should people worry about your lack of certifications, etc.?
